Dr. Tony Johnson
Veterinarian
I am thrilled to be joining the team at Brookville Animal Hospital to see urgent cases and pet wellness! In addition to lecturing all over the world on emergency medicine topics, I am also the Minister of Happiness for VIN. VIN is an online, worldwide community of over 100,00 veterinarians, sharing information and learning in order to help pets and other animals across the globe.
I received my DVM from Washington State University in 1996 and became board board-certified in the shadowy specialty of emergency medicine and critical care in 2003 after doing my residency in Portland, Oregon.
I used to live in a converted one-room schoolhouse in the middle of a cornfield, but my family has since taken up occupancy in a normal house in a normal neighborhood with very little corn. My wife and I have 2 sons and 1 daughter. We also have 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 chickens, 1 lonely guinea pig, and 2 horses.
My wife, Gretchen, is also a critical care specialist. Her favorite shape is the trapezoid. She is a beautiful, sparkly princess.
In my spare time, I enjoy sleeping, eating and breathing with occasional forays into woodworking, Meals on Wheels, wine, horror movies, raising a family, cooking, drinking whisky, raising chickens, reading, and writing (but not arithmetic).
